I simply do not understand it. People gripe about co-pays, question everything the doctor says or does, and will not take a medication unless it is completely covered by the insurance.
But they'll take an herbal supplement, for $89 per month, no questions asked. No proof of effectiveness or safety required.
Let me tell my readers (all 3 of you) something. Herbals at best, are worthless until they pass the rigors of the scientific method. I don't recommend them. I don't profit from them. I don't use them. When an herbal supplement is shown to be effective, based on well performed, scientific, controlled studies, I'll use it. Other than that, herbals and faith healing and blood letting fall into the same category.
